NRP is an educational program that introduces the concepts and skills of neonatal resuscitation. In Canada, NRP is administered by the Canadian Paediatric Society and is designed to teach individuals and teams who may be required to resuscitate newborn babies. NRP course content is evidence-based and delivered across Canada in both English and French to over 51,000 health care professionals.

The 9th Edition of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) will be launched in both official languages in Canada.
Providers have 60 days to complete any 8th Edition NRP exams in their RQI current learnings. Afterwards, any not-started and in progress 8th Edition NRP activities will be automatically replaced by the 9th Edition Online Learning Assessment (OLA).
