Education Program for Immunization Competencies

The Education Program for Immunization Competencies (EPIC) is designed for all health care providers who administer vaccines. This self-guided online program covers all aspects of safe, effective immunization practice and delivery.

Registration includes free access to the online learning module ‘Moving to Acceptance: Strategies to address concerns about vaccines.’

Learning objectives

Upon successful completion of this continuing education program, participants will be better able to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about immunization
  • Promote safe and competent practices to achieve higher vaccine coverage rates

The program consists of 12 modules:

  4. The Types of Immunizing Agents and their Composition
  5. Population Health
  6. Communications
  7. Storage and handling of Immunization Agents

  10. Documentation
  11. Populations Requiring Special Considerations
  12. Legal and Ethical Aspects of Immunization
