2023 Canadian Paediatric Society’s conference highlights up-to-date topics in child and youth health

HALIFAX – The latest research and developments in child and youth health will be showcased during the Canadian Paediatric Society’s 100th Annual Conference, May 25-27 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. More than 700paediatricians and other child and youth health professionals from across Canada are expected to attend.
The conference will feature:
A keynote address by two-time Olympian Perdita Felicien. Her talk, focused on chasing dreams and overcoming hurdles, will take place at the opening plenary, from 9 – 10:30 a.m. AT on May 25.
Timely workshops and seminars on child and youth health. Topics include advocacy in paediatric emergency medicine, promoting early literacy, updates in paediatric infectious diseases, and adolescent substance use.
Over 100 scientific abstracts in areas such as emergency and adolescent medicine, infectious diseases, neonatology and child maltreatment.
Paediatric Update: Presentations on timely issues in paediatrics including management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, congenital syphilis, and concussion management. The Paediatric Update is on Saturday May 27 from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. AT.
Pre-conference interviews can be arranged and media assistance will be available on-site. Events will be held at the Halifax Convention Centre. The media office is located on the fifth floor.
